To provide a device for producing electrolytic gaseous oxygen and hydrogen by which gaseous oxygen and hydrogen are separately used by providing a device for separately generating gaseous oxygen and hydrogen by electrolyzing water with an electrolytic cell furnished with an intermediate wall between the flat anode and cathode and the gaseous oxygen tank and gaseous hydrogen tank to store the gases and to provide a device for producing ultrapure water.
An intermediate wall 3 impermeable to gas and having a plate 4 permeable to an electrolyte 16 at the lower part is provided between the anode side and cathode side of the flat electrode 1 of an electrolytic cell 17. ADC power source 19 is connected to both electrodes. The electrolyte 16 is electrolyzed to separately generate gaseous oxygen and hydrogen on both sides of the intermediate wall 3. The gaseous oxygen and hydrogen are mixed by a mixer, and the mixture is burned and then cooled to produce ultrapure water.
