Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for raising and lowering a backrest portion that can promote comfortable and sound sleep by providing a bed with inclinations at which individual human bodies are easy to sleep.
SOLUTION: A right drive means 18 and a left drive means 13 by which a right back-raising arm 8 and a left back-raising arm 7 freely risably provided on the right and left of a frame 1 are individually driven to rise or fall are provided, and the driving distances of the right drive means 18 and the left drive means 13 are varied to operate the right back-raising arm 8 and the left back-raising arm 7 differently. A device for raising and lowering a backrest portion can thus be provided which can promote comfortable and sound sleep by tilting a backrest frame to the right or left and thereby providing the bed with an inclination at which it is easier to sleep.
