PURPOSE: To improve the performance of a whole elevator system by making it unnecessary to rapidly dispatch an elevator card other than when a passenger uses the elevator card by automatically detecting the number of passengers in the elevator car, and rapidly dispatching the car from one floor to another floor according to the number of passenger.

CONSTITUTION: This device is constituted of a controller which generates a car rapid dispatch signal for rapidly dispatching an elevator car from one floor to another floor of a building and a passenger detector PS which automatically detects the number of passengers in an elevator, and automatically generates a passenger detection signal. A passenger detection signal generated by the passenger detector PS is electrically connected with the controller, and the number of passengers in the elevcitor car packed at one floor of the building is automatically detected by both the devices, and the elevator car is rapidly dispatched to another floor of the building according to the detected number of passengers. Thus, it is not necessary for a passenger to push a calling button for calling the elevator car.
