Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely set a final page or a finished page, to eliminate trouble in setting a page to be copied and to prevent operation procedure from getting complicated by stopping reading and page turning operation by a stopping means designating the final page to be read or outputted of a book document.
SOLUTION: An operator sets a finishing sheet 400 functioning as the stopping means designating the final page to be read or outputted of the book document before starting copying. In a bound document mode, a bound document tray is drawn out and the bound document to be copied is set on right and left document platens while putting its cover in between, and the sheet 400 is set in a state where it is put between the pages where copying should be finished. When the page where the sheet 400 is put comes due to page-turning by repeating the page image reading and page turning operation, the turning operation begins after reading the spread right and left pages, but the page can not be turned, so that detecting operation due to non-turning begins. In the case of judging that the sheet 400 exists, operation stopping guidance is executed.
