To obtain a receiving device which is convenient for a user to use by displaying plural program names and information which indicates the recep tion progress situations of them in a character information display means with correspondence as a program table which is generated through the use of a program reception situation managing means.
Program numbers 12 are used at the time of designation the desired program by an input operating part, etc., which are the ones imparted at a broadcasting station side or originally imparted at a receiving device side and are made to correspond to the program names 13. A latest page reception time 14 indicates the reception time of a latest reception page within the programs. The proportion of the reception pages as against the number of total pages in the program is indicated by % in the reception progress situations 16 and 'unrecognized' is displayed when the number of the total pages is unfixed or unrecognized. The program table in this kind of formation is displayed so that the user adequately recognize the reception progress situations of the respective programs and also recognize whether or not an unread page exists in the reception page of the respective programs.
