Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a vehicle by providing an interlocking member for locking a differential gear while interlocking with a pair of steerable wheels when the steering angle of the steerable wheels is increased and providing a releasing member for releasing the locking by the interlocking member when required. CONSTITUTION:The power of an engine is transmitted to a differential gear through a connecting shaft 33 and rotates a pair of steerable wheels 5 to run a vehicle 2. When a steering handle 23 is rotated in any direction as a speed change lever 1 is in an operational running speed position, a pair of laterally arranged rotary members 18 are integrally rotated through an arm potion 20 and a tie rod 21 to steer the pair of steerable wheels 5. In this case, when the steering angle of the wheels 5 is increased, an operating member 30 abuts against a projection 28 of an arm member 29 to rotate an interlocking shaft 25. In result, differential gear locking mechanism is operated to stop the differential operation of the differential gear, rotating the pair of steerable wheels 5 at the same speed.
