Title:
DEVICE FOR REMOVING CHAFF AND FINE PARTICLE OF ROASTED AND CRUSHED COFFEE BEAN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2018089382
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for separating and removing chaff and fine particles that arise during crushing of the roasted coffee beans by a coffee mill which may cause acridity and unpleasant taste.SOLUTION: Roasted and crushed coffee beans 11 are placed in a cylindrical container 5 having a mixer. A cap 10 is set on a hood 2 having a discharge cylinder 7 in which a telescopic sleeve 6 is inserted and a filter 8, the hood 2 is then fixed on an upper part of the cylinder container. The air 12 compressed and sent from an air-supply blower 3 flows from an air inlet 4 on a side of the hood and around the discharge cylinder while sucking chaff and fine particles with small relative density from a bottom of the discharge cylinder. The chaff and fine particles move to an upper surface by the mixer to be separated from the crushed coffee beans with large relative density. A length of the discharge cylinder is adjusted by the telescopic sleeve depending on the amount of beans and a tip thereof is formed in a bell-mouth shape. With this configuration, the chaff and fine particles can be efficiently separated and removed in a wide range without causing a turbulence in the airflow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
