Title:
DEVICE REMOVING CHIP OUT OF CUTTING LUBRICANT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04171154
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently remove small chips as well as to make a device small in size by providing a rotating cylinder composed of a filter where an outer circumference rotating around the center axial line of a chip transfer mechanism is provided with plural fall guide plates which permit chips to fall clown again over the chip transfer mechanism, at its inner circumference in the longitudinal direction.

CONSTITUTION: Cutting lubricant coming up from the cutting section of a machine tool flows out of a cutting lubricant dropping port 6 onto a chip transfer mechanism 1 so as to be carried in an intermediate section. In this case, large and heavy chips are continuously transferred as they are, and easily flowing small chips 7 flow down into the inside of a rotating cylinder 4 in order together with cutting lubricant by means of the chip transfer mechanism 1. the small chips 7 are grasped by plural fall guide plates 2 provided for the inner circumference of a filter 3 so as to be elevated. Next, they are returned back to the chip transfer mechanism 1 while being slipped over each fall guide plate 2 by gravity. During the period of time when the aforesaid operations are repeated, the small chips 7 gradually tend to be bonded onto the large and heavy chips, so that they are thereby swept away with pressure so as to be discharged out of a discharge port 8. Furthermore, cutting lubricant passes through the filter 3 of the rotating cylinder 4, thereby falling down within a circulating tank 9.
