PURPOSE: To efficiently remove non-metallic inclusion and to improve the yield by arranging a rotary vessel horizontally rotating molten metal and a floating-up vessel connected with the above vessel and making a communicating hole for communicating the above both vessels the prescribed cross sectional area.
CONSTITUTION: The title removing device is formed of the rotary vessel 1 horizontally rotating the received molten metal and the floating-up vessel 2 connected with this. This floatingup vessel 2 provides a flowing-out hole 6 to float up the non-metallic inclusion in the molten metal. Further, the communicating hole 5 for communicating the above both vessels 1, 2 is arranged and the cross sectional area (cm2) of the communicating hole 5 is made to be ≤flowing rate (t/min)×50 and to be ≤ the total area of rotary vessel 1×5%. Then, the horizontal rotating flow is given to the molten metal and the non-metallic inclusion in the molten metal is separated and removed.
