Title:
DEVICE FOR REMOVING WATER-BEARING ASH FROM PIT AND METHOD FOR REMOVING WATER-BEARING WASTE FROM PIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3476452
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove water-bearing ash or waste from a pit by a scooping means capable of rising and falling along a track.
SOLUTION: A device comprises an extension track having a first and a second end, with the first end located near the pit and the second end located away from the first end and in a higher position than the first end; the scooping means movable along the extension track and deformable into a first and a second configuration for retaining the ash when in the first configuration and releasing the retained ash when in the second configuration; an elevator means for moving the scooping means along the extension track between the first and the second position; and a control means connected to the scooping means. At least a portion of the extension track has the configuration of a watertight trough near the pit, and a displacement means attached to a plate is provided which causes all the matter falling on the trough to be redirected to a position away from the track when a chute formed of one plate that can be deflected in two directions is provided at the bottom of the extension track and deflected in the second direction.
