PURPOSE: To facilitate and accelerate the replacement of cutters, by replacing only the cutters of several hundred kilograms through a cutter conveying truck and a cutter replacing truck and securing and releasing each cutter on a rotary drum by a hydraulic cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic cylinder 20 is provided in a rotary drum 11. When pressure oil is supplied from a joint 28 of a pressure oil feed pipe 26, a block 18 is loosened. At that time, a cutter 17 is released so that it can be moved in parallel with the axis of the rotary drum. The cutter pulled out is transferred onto a replacing truck 35 by a conveying truck 30 extending perpendicularly to the former truck. A new cutter previously positioned on the truck 35 is inserted into the drum by the truck 30 and secured by the block 18.
