To provide a sampling device which can automatically surely grip one of yarn ends arranged at the constant positions of packages preliminarily supported on a carriage without using a man hand and then piece one of the yarns of the packages, namely the sampling device which can automatically directly grip out the yarn from one of the packages supported on the pegged carriage or the like and sample the yarn.
The sampling device 1 is formed for directly sampling a yarn Y from one of packages P supported on the pegs 5 of carriages 3a, 3b each having the pegs. End clampers 21 which are yarn end-clamping members for positioning the yarn ends of the packages P supported on the pegs 5 are disposed on the pegs 5, and each of the end yarn clampers 21 clamps the two points of the yarn end.
