PURPOSE: To select automatically normally broken eggs from eggs whose yellow are damaged, by making broken eggs to fall on a slant surface running at a constant speed.

CONSTITUTION: The eggs a supplied from the egg feeding device 13 are broken by the edge unit 4, and the white and the yellow of eggs are dropped on the endless selecting belt with one end slanted at the position A. As the belt moves at a constant speed, normally broken eggs fall on the one end 27a of the selecting chute 27, drawing the locus B1. While, bad broken eggs whose yellow are damaged have large friction on the belt, draw the locus B2 and fall. The bad broken eggs are made to flow into the chute 27b receiving abnormally broken eggs by the wiper 24 and transported to a fixed position in the right direction which is separated from the normally broken eggs.
