Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a stacking and unstacking device capable of using an overall height of a place where articles are disposed so as to form a stacked body.
CONSTITUTION: Two guides 2a and 2b are disposed on two side parts of an article storage area 1 and raising trolleys 3a and 3b are installed on the guides. On the raising trolleys 3a and 3b, rotating arms 4a and 4b rotatable in vertical plane are connected hingedly, respectively. The end parts of a raising mechanism 5 are connected to the free ends of the rotating arms 4a and 4b. Articles P to be stacked and unstacked are caught by a gripper of the raising mechanism 5 to form a number of stacked bodies S1,... Si,...Sn disposed in parallel with each other, and arranged in the rows of P1,... Pi,...Pn through the lateral direction of the article storage area 1. The gripper functions based on the mechanical, pneumatic, or electromagnetic technique.
