To provide a device for sterilizing packed foods, realizing the reduction in the cost of the device and improving the efficiency of a sterilization treatment.

This food sterilization device 101 has a high frequency wave- generating machine 71, and sterilizes packed foods P with heat induced by high frequency waves supplied from the high frequency wave-generating machine 71. Therein, the food sterilization device 101 is provided with a food-loading vessel 2x comprising counter electrodes 20 which comprise the first electrode and the second electrode and to which high frequency waves are applied, and a frame 23 disposed between the counter electrodes. The food-loading vessel 2x is provided with a food-loading chamber in which plural packed foods P are loaded. The food-loading chamber is provided with plural unit food-loading chambers each having an inner surface shape approximately coincident with the outer shape of each packed food P.
