PURPOSE: To efficiently suck floating material on a liq. surface even if the liq, surface is lowered or the head is raised and to surely discharge the material by surely holding a suction port provided at the upper end of a suction pipe on the liq. surface without being affected by the wind and waves.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a lift 9 for vertically moving a suction port 2 formed at the upper end of a suction pipe 1 extending to the liq. surface from below to hold the suction port 2 on the liq. surface, a sonic level gage 17 capable of being vertically moved along with the suction port 2 and a controller 18 for outputting a position control signal CH to the lift 9 in accordance with the detected level, a suction port 4a of a pump 4 for sucking the floating material is connected to the lower end of the suction pipe 1, a flexible tube 5 is connected to a discharge port 4b, and the pump 4 is hung from the lower end of the suction pipe 1.
