To prevent a spring from being buckled when a holding member is assembled to ensure that a pressure regulator is correctly regulated, by fixing the holding member to the closed portion for closing the opening of a reservoir tank and housing in the holding member an inserting portion moved in the axial direction by a spring force.
A feed pump is inserted into a reservoir tank through an opening which is made in the wall thereof and is closed by a closing portion 22 after the feed pump is inserted and the discharging pipe of the feed pump is inserted through the closing portion 22. The closing portion 22 is also provided with a flange-shaped base body 30 and connecting pipes 33, 37 are connected to passages 35, 36 formed in the base body 30. The passage 36 has an opening in a recessed portion 43 via two holes 41, 42 and the recessed portion 43 is closed by a diaphragm unit 48. The diaphragm unit 48 is wrapped by a spring 53 and a holding member 62 shaped like a cap and an inserting member 58 is movably arranged in the opening 63.
