PURPOSE: To obtain a molten metal supplying and injecting device for a vertical type die casting machine, in which excellent maintenance to a level sensor is easily executed and supplying quantity of the molten metal into an injection sleeve can be changed.

CONSTITUTION: A detecting rod 108 arranged to a molten metal supplying chamber 46 is positioned to preparing height for supplying the molten metal, and after rising molten metal surface height in a molten metal supplying chamber 46 to the preparing height for supplying the molten metal by pressurizing a pressurizing chamber 44 with a pressurizing device, the necessary pressurizing force P21 to supply the molten metal per one time is calculated from this pressurized force P11 to execute supply of the molten metal into the injection sleeve 56. The injection sleeve 56 and the molten metal supplying chamber 46 are communicated through a communicating tube 64, and as heights of both molten metal are equalized, at the time of detecting what the molten metal height in the molten metal supplying chamber 46 reaches to the necessary molten metal height with the detecting rod 108, by stopping the pressurizing, the molten metal can be supplied by the necessary quantity without setting the level sensor in the injection sleeve 56.
