Abstract:
To supply a fixed quantity of molten metal in a holding furnace into a casting machine with a simple structure.
A molten metal supplying vessel 2 having a sucking hole 2a and a spouting hole 2b in the closed holding furnace 1, is installed, and a cylinder 6 is communicated with this molten metal supplying vessel 2, then the fixed quantity of the molten metal M decided with a fixed stroke S of a piston 6a in the cylinder 6 is supplied into the casting machine after the molten metal M is received into the molten metal supplying vessel 2 from the holding furnace 1. Further, the piston 6 is advanced/retreate by the additional stroke Δ in addition to the fixed stroke S to fully discharge the molten metal M.
