To accurately adjust a dampening roller or an applicator roller relative to a plate cylinder and to an adjacent roller by providing a fixed supporting means for the applicator roller movably adjustable to the cylinder and a previously installed roller.

A dampening roller 4 is inserted into a bearing shell 9 by using a roller neck portion 9. When the roller 4 is inserted into the shell 9, a cutout 10 is covered with a discoidal driving element 11. The element 11 is coupled to a drive shaft 12, and rotatably driven by a drive gear 13. First adjusting eccentrics 15 are supported by a frame 14, and second eccentrics 16 are supported in the eccentrics 15. The eccentrics 16 have a support for the shaft 12. Adjusting levers 17, 18 are respectively provided at the eccentrics 15, 16, and operated to rotate the eccentrics 15, 16.
