The portable telephone 100-1 transmits the unique identifier of the terminal to the device 210. The distress rescue support device 210 which has received the unique identifier collates the unique identifier with the unique identifier of the portable telephone 100-1 carried by the person in distress 300-1 prepared in advance and held in the device, and specifies the portable telephone 100-1 carried by the person in distress 300-1, and causes the portable telephone 100-1 to transmit the location information of the terminal calculated based on a GPS signal received from a GPS satellite 400. The location information is transmitted to a portable telephone 100-2 carried by a search party 300-2 on the ground.
