Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold capable of manufacturing a silica glass crucible in a rotary molding method such that a three-dimensional shape has high coincidence with design data on the silica glass crucible.SOLUTION: When three-dimensional shapes of simulation data obtained based upon initial property parameters and measurement data have coincidence lower than a predetermined level, improved property parameters for raising the coincidence to or above the predetermined level are set. When the coincidence is lower than the predetermined level, improved mold design data for obtaining simulation data such that coincidence with design data of a silica glass crucible is equal to or higher than the predetermined level is set. Consequently, the coincidence of the three-dimensional shapes of the design data and measurement data on the silica glass crucible can be raised to or above the predetermined level. Namely, a mold can be obtained which enables manufacture of the silica glass crucible having higher coincidence of a three-dimensional shape with the design data of the silica glass crucible in a rotary molding method.
