PURPOSE: To evade the congestion of fibers, to simplify the structure of a hand mechanism and to shorten a fiber connecting time in the case of drawing out fibers from a distributing board or connecting the fibers to connectors on a connecting board.
CONSTITUTION: A rotatable distributing board 21 is opposed to a rotatable connecting board 22, the board 21 is rotated around a rotary shaft 30 so that a ferrule 25 fixed to the head of each input side optical fiber 28 is set up to a position on which the ferrule 25 can be drawn out by the hand mechanism 27 and the ferrule 2 of an objective optical fiber 28 is drawn out up to the board 22. At the time, the board 22 also is rotated around a rotary shaft 31, the ferrule 26 is inserted and connected into/to a corresponding connector arranged on the board 22 by the mechanism 27 to obtain an output side optical fiber 29. In the case of ejecting the fiber from the connector, similar operation is executed, and finally the fiber is wound up by a fiber winding mechanism 32.
