PURPOSE: To provide strong or weak dehydrating operation for an automatic washing machine to meet the type of clothes to be washed by operating the deydrating corresponding to the strength of the clothes to be washed and accordingly select switch.

CONSTITUTION: When a select switch is turned ON, a motor 8 is first rotated in one direction at the side a of contact T6, is then switched to the side b of the other contact T6 to energize continuously the motor 8 through a select switch 7 at the side b, and is finally dehydrated for forcibly drain water at full time limit of the dehydrating step. When the select switch is turned OFF, the motor 8 is deenergized from when the contact T6 is switched from the side a to the side b to thus interrupt the dehydrating operation. That is, hydraulic operation is formed partly in the full time limit of the final dehydrating step as weak dehydrating.
