PURPOSE: To minimize the case that the transfer of data is hardly performed due to insufficient memory capacity and to improve utility when the data of image data, etc., is transferred specifically in a video conference system.
CONSTITUTION: The case that the data transfer is hardly performed due to the insufficient memory capacity can be minimized when the image data of the data, etc., is transferred by selecting the optimum storage device corresponding to the data quantity of transferred image data among plural kinds of storage devices 9, 10, and 11 of an image preservation device 13. The wasteful data of the image preservation device 13 can be eliminated by including a flag representing whether or not the image data are displayed in the image data. The simultaneous display of the data can be performed at each terminal by giving a proper device number to the image preservation device 13 of each terminal. A mode to directly display the transferred image data on the display 4 of a transfer destination is prepared.
