To provide a device, a system and a method for summing up business forms, enabling increasing efficiency by registering in a database many business forms filled out with information and printing out on each business form summing up results obtained from the database.

This device comprises an image scanner 21 for reading answer sheets 9(1)-9(N) filled out with predetermined items one after another, a character recognition means 12 to receive the read image data one after another and recognize characters for all or part of the items, the database 13 for registering the character recognition results, an arithmetic processing unit 14 for calculating the predetermined summing up results common to each answering sheet and/or the predetermined summing up results different by each business form, and a printing means 23 to print out the predetermined summing up results, corresponding to each answering sheet on a predetermined filed of each answering sheet one after another.
