PURPOSE: To supply the raw materials into the furnace in a large area and uniformly in a device to charge raw materials to an incinerator by providing a nozzle that jets out steam jets for crashing materials that are given out from the discharge outlet of a screw pump at its discharge outlet.
CONSTITUTION: A screw pump 24 which constitutes a raw material charging device is provided at the side wall section of the furnace body 12 of a primary flowing combustion chamber 16. This screw feeder 24 is of a double-axes type, and it is constituted of two screws 28 that are installed in the screw casing 26. At the discharge outlet section at the tip end of this screw casing 26 a plurality of steam nozzles 30 are provided. The tip end of this nozzle 30 goes round the tip end of the screw casing 26 and is arranged so as to put the direction of the steam jets perpendicularly to the direction of the axis and to be in the direction to point to the center of the screw casing 26. To the section near the tip end of the screw casing 26 a piping 34 to blow in steam into the screw casing 26 is connected. With this arrangement it is possible to carry out uniform and efficient combustion.
