To perform opening/closing operation without touching a toilet seat or a toilet seat cover of a western style toilet with bare hands.

A toilet is provided with an installation body 2 detachable to a toilet seat 1 and an operation handle 3 which is fitted to the installation body 2 in such a state as projected to the outside of the toilet seat 1 so as to open/close the toilet seat 1. It is also provided with a detachable first installation body on a part of the toilet seat cover, the second installation part 7 installed in opposite to a part where the first installation body 6 is fitted in the toilet seat cover 4, a coupling body 8 for coupling the both installation bodies together, and the operation handle 3 which is fitted to the both installation bodies so as to open/close the toilet seat cover 4. A fitting 9 formed either one or both of the toilet seat 1 or the toilet seat cover 4 and the operation handle 3 which is fitted to the fitting 9 so as to open/close the toilet seat 1 or the toilet seat cover 4 are provided. It is also provided with a toilet seat lock part formed on the toilet seat 1, a toilet seat cover lock part which is positioned on the toilet seat cover 4 and formed toward the front part than the toilet seat lock part 11, and the operation handle 3 which can be switched to the simultaneous locking to the both lock parts and locking to the only toilet seat cover lock part and projects to the outside from the toilet seat or the toilet seat cover 4.
