In the transferring device 3 for continuously cast slab, with which the continuously cast slab C horizontally conveyed with a horizontal transfer disposed in the deeper level than that of the upper surface of the ground, is transferred onto the inclined transfer 2 conveyed to the upper surface of the ground from the horizontal transfer 1, this transferring device for continuously cast slab is composed of a dump carriage 9 which is disposed in plural grooves 7 formed along the conveying direction of the continuously cast slab C in the horizontal transfer 1 and the inclined transfer 2, respectively and arranges a dock 12 supporting the continuously cast slab C, guide rails 10, with which wheels 11 disposed at the rear end of the dump carriage 9 horizontally shift, and a driving arm 13, in which this one end part is pivotally attached so as to be freely rotated to the end part of the tilting carriage 9 and also, the other end is fixed to a rotation driving shaft 14 and the advancing/retreating and tilting movements of the dump carriage 9 are executed by the rotary movement of the rotation driving shaft 14.
