Abstract:
PURPOSE: To minimize the pitch length of chains and to increase the adjustment range of the chain pitch in a device for treating film webs simultaneously in two axial directions in which grippers circulates endlessly within guide tracks, grabbing parts which clamp the edge parts of the film webs are provided and linked to chain link plates pivotally, and spacing between the grippers is continuously adjustable for changing the chain pitch.
CONSTITUTION: Each gripper 1 has a shaft 7 which passes through the gripper body 2 and to which inner and outer chain link plates 9, 10 are linked. This outer chain link plate 10 is formed as an angled bell crank type of lever 11 which can be displaced from the plane of chain tracks.
