PURPOSE: To provide a low-cost and high-performance cell-handling device in which a plate having a plurality of adsorption sites is used to handle a large amount of microparticles individually and collectively, thereby preventing the cell suction caused by formation of flowing routes or release of cell suspension to reduce the damage to the cell and give cells of high biological activity.
CONSTITUTION: This device comprises a structure in which a cell pool 20, functioning as a flow route for feeding the ceell suspension, is formed or released by bringing the cell pool into contact with or parting from the lower face of a carrieer plate 1 by expanding or shrinking the sealer 22 made of a viscoelastomer with a pressure source 28 in order to include a plurality of adsorption site areas 3. Thus, the change in pressure in the cell pool caused by expansion and shrinkage of a sealing part surrounding a plurality of adsorption sites is reduced and the sucking out phenomenon of the cells adsoorbed to the carrier plate 1 can be prevented.
