Title:
DEVICE WHOSE CONNECTING RODS ARE LINEARLY DRIVEN BY MAKING USE OF FREE-WHEEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1182664
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain driving force at a high efficiency by means of the linear movement of each connecting rod in place of the rotation of a crank shaft by each connecting rod, and a circular movement by stationary levers, by forming twisted splines on paired free-wheels and connecting rods, and forming the outer side surface of each free-wheel so as to be engaged with the twisted spline. SOLUTION: In this device, twisted splines 22 and 22' are formed in the hollow inner surfaces of connecting rods 21 and 21', free-wheels 23 and 23' are provided with outer side surfaces to be engaged with the twisted splines, and bevel gears 27 and 27' are provided for the lower ends of shafts 25 and 25' fixed to the hub sleeves of the free-wheels through receiving washers 24 and 24' and a supporting body 26, and let connecting rods be linearly driven by making use of each free-wheel comprising the side surface of each connecting rod 21 and 21' connected and liked therewith by a link 30 in such a way as to be connected with bevel gears 28 and 28' provided for a driving shaft 29 while being interlocked therewith.
