Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a chip card in micro-SIM format from flawing owing to the projection of the adapter. SOLUTION: This device has a chip card reader which has a connector 2 that can come into contact with the contact pad of an integrated circuit on a chip card in f full-SIM format, the detachable casing 3, and the adapter where the chip card in micro-SIM format can be inserted and read. The casing 3 covers the adapter formed of a recessed part 4 for storing the chip card in micro-SIM format and has a positioning device 5 for holding the micro-SIM format in the recessed part 4. The recessed part 4 and positioning device 5 arrange the said contact pad, present on this card opposite the connector 2 after the micro-SIM card is inserted.
