Abstract:
To provide an alternative device that is suitable for monitoring a closing position of two parts that are movable relative to one another, and in particular for use as a door contact switch.SOLUTION: A sensor (4) has: a receiving circuit (5) with a sensor element (6) and a detector element (8); and a computer unit (10) connected to the detector element (8). The sensor element (6) cooperates with an actuator (3) to generate a first receiving circuit signal (7a) during a normal operation when a switching distance (2) between the sensor (4) and the actuator (3) is undershot. The detector element (8) generates a first output signal as a function of the first receiving circuit signal (7a), generates a second output signal as a function of a second receiving circuit signal (7b), and transmits them to the computer unit (10). A device (1) is configured and/or programmed to repeatedly switch over between the normal operation and a test operation by means of a switch-over element (17).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
