Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for working the internal and external surfaces with which the defective rotation of a mandrel is prevented, inferior working is prevented and working accuracy is improved.
SOLUTION: In a working device for forming a spiral groove on the inner peripheral surface of a metallic tube by pressing the outer peripheral surface of the metallic tube against a mandrel 38 which is inserted into the metallic tube after the metallic tube is moved in its axial direction, first, the diameter of the outer peripheral surface of the metallic tube is reduced with a die and floating plug 30, the floating plug 30 is provided with a large diameter part 32 and rod part 36 which is coaxially formed at the rear of the large diameter part 32 and, the mandrel 38 and a pair of cylindrical magnets 42, 44 such as the same poles are opposite to each other are successively arranged at the rear end of this rod part 36. Furthermore, a pair of the magnets 42, 44 and the mandrel 38 are freely relatively rotationaly supported on the rod part 36 with a bolt 48 which penetrates a pair of the magnets 42, 44 and mandrel 38 and is screwed in the rod part 36.
