Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide precise positional reproducibility even in low speed rotation without enlarging a device.
CONSTITUTION: A second rotary body 113 is arranged concentrically on an outer periphery of a first rotary body 112, and a bearing 114 is arranged on the outer periphery of the second rotary body 113. Dynamic pressure generating grooves 112d are formed on the surface opposing to the second rotary body 113 of the first rotary body 112. The dynamic pressure generating grooves 114a are formed on the surface opposing to the second rotary body of the bearing 114 also. A recording medium 110 is loaded on the first rotary body 112, and a probe 111 is arranged opposing to the recording medium 110. When the second rotary body 113 is rotated at a high speed, the dynamic pressure are generated between the second rotary body 113 and the bearing 114, and between the second rotary body 113 and the first rotary body 112, and the first rotary body 112 is supported precisely by the dynamic pressure even when the first rotary body 112 is rotated at a low speed.
