Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the NC data that is free from the cutting when a tool crosses a projecting edge of a free curved surface of a machining shape by obtaining a tool center path free from any cutting and evading the projecting interference when the occurrence of this interference because of the occurrence of cutting between the free curved surface and a tool is decided. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 5 carries out the following processing based on a program stored in a storage 7. That is, a tool center calculation means 1 calculates the coordinates of a tool center where a point set on a free curved surface of a machining shape is cut. A tool-curved surface projecting interference deciding means 2 checks whether a tool cuts or not a projecting edge of the curved surface when the tool center moves between two points set by the means 1. When the means 2 decides the presence of the projecting interference, a projecting interference evading path generating means 3 decides a tool center path which is free from any cutting. An NC data generating means 4 produces the NC data based on the coordinates of the tool center, i.e., the tool center path obtained by the means 3. In such a constitution, the interference and the cutting can be estimated and evaded.
