PURPOSE: To make a delivery-slip-issuing/attaching operation highly reliable, by securely taking out by the use of a delivery-article-extracting rejection-means a delivery article whose code data cannot be read and a delivery article with a delivery slip having wrong destination address.
CONSTITUTION: A delivery-slip-issuing device 3 reads the code data of each delivery article (a) by means of a bar code reader 6 set in a transfer means 2, and transmits its information to a control part 5. Then, the control part 5 controls two printers 7a and 7b. A delivery-slip-attaching device 4 sends out support bands 8, on which delivery slips are peelably provided, by means of roll parts so that they are passed through corresponding printers 7a and 7b, and separates the delivery slips from the support bands 8 to attach them by means of guides part 10a and 10b, respectively. Further, a rejection box 24 comprises a rejection means by providing an extraction drive-device 22 for taking out the delivery article (a), which is controlled by a control part 5, when its code data cannot be read by the bar code reader 6 or bar code readers 6a-6c fail to read it.
