Abstract:
To provide a measuring method and a measuring apparatus in a screw press that measure moisture content of dewatering cake near a discharge part of the screw press.SOLUTION: In measurement of moisture content of dewatering cake generated in a filtration chamber 12 of a screw press 1, a rod part 22 of a measuring apparatus 20 is inserted through a measurement hole 25 formed in a presser 14 and can pierce the dewatering cake in the filtration chamber 12, the rod part 22 of the measuring apparatus 20 is extended along a shaft core of a screw shaft 7, a measurement pin 23 at a tip of the rod part 22 is caused to pierce the dewatering cake in the filtration chamber 12, moisture content of the dewatering cake is calculated by comparing a piercing depth and a reference value. The moisture content, that fluctuates in real time according to sludge characteristics, can be measured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
