PURPOSE: To obtain fault predicting technique by providing a sensor, a diagnostic condition setter which sets and inputs diagnostic criteria, etc., and a microcomputer system which calculates and contrasts a vibration spectrum, etc., with a set diagnostic reference value to diagnose a fault.
CONSTITUTION: A low-pass filter 2, A/D converter 3, and a master microcomputer 4 are connected to the sensor 1 in downstream order. The diagnostic condition setter 5 sets and inputs an interval of diagnosis and diagnostic conditions such as diagnostic criteria. The system 4 performs averaging calculation for extracting features of a signal from the A/D converter 3 and digit-number adjustment calculation preventing an underflow and an overflow and then makes a frequency analysis FFT together with a main memory 7, calculation processor 6, and auxiliary memory 8 to perform conversion to an acceleration spectrum on the frequency axis from a time axis. Further, the system calculates a speed spectrum and an amplitude spectrum from the acceleration spectrum and their mean values, etc. They are displayed on a diagnostic display part 9 according to the diagnostic conditions and a warning device 10 is driven.
