Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic and therapeutic agent for metastatic cancers with mts-1 gene.
SOLUTION: An antibody against human mts-1 protein expressed by metastatic tumor cells or a nucleotide binding to isolated mts-1mRNA of nucleic acid is used for diagnosis of metastatic cancers. The antibody and the nucleotide effectively prevent metastasis of cancer cells and are used in medicinal agents for treating the metastatic cancers such as lung cancer, liver cancer, kidney cancer and the like.
