Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pathological image diagnosis supporting device capable of automatically diagnosing a pit pattern of a surface structure of a large intestine polyp in real time in an endoscopy from among five pit patterns into which the surface structure falls.SOLUTION: This invention is a device electrically connected to a large intestine magnifying endoscope. When a foot switch and the like electrically connected to the large intestine magnifying endoscope is pressed, the device takes in an endoscopic image being viewed with the endoscope into this device in real time, digitizes the image, puts the digitized image into a pattern recognition with information stored in an image feature amount database, calculates a diagnostic probability with an amount of retrieved similar feature, and then displays a result. The device takes in large amount of existing diagnosed endoscopic images, digitizes the images, statistically processes the large amount of the digitalized information, and stores the statistically processed information in the image feature amount database.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
