Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose a sliding bearing without performing works for decomposing and assembling an engine, and the like.SOLUTION: A device for diagnosing abnormality such as rubbing in a sliding bearing 1 of a rotating shaft 2 of a diesel engine includes: a rotational frequency detection sensor for detecting a rotational frequency of the rotating shaft 2; an acceleration sensor 12 disposed on a surface of the diesel engine for detecting an acceleration in vibrating the rotating shaft 2; a monitoring device for converting waveform data representing an acceleration of vibration detected by the acceleration sensor 12 into waveform data of frequency region by Fourier conversion, extracting a plurality of pieces of peak information generated at rotation frequency intervals in the waveform data of the frequency region by prescribed signal processing by combining the waveform data of the frequency region and the rotational frequency of the rotating shaft 2, obtaining a characteristic value by quantifying the peak information by an arithmetic unit applying the prescribed peak value as the characteristic value, monitoring whether the characteristic value is over a prescribed threshold value or not, and determining occurrence of abnormality on the sliding bearing when the characteristic value is over the threshold value; and a notification device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 32
