Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect abnormality without making the control circuit complex by detecting the abnormality by comparing actual current consumption with current consumption which is estimated by a CPU. CONSTITUTION:This diagnostic device is equipped with a current consumption detecting means 3 which detects the current consumption of the electronic control circuit including the CPU and an IC circuit 2, a current consumption estimating means 4, and a trouble processing means 6 which performs processing when a trouble detecting means 5 detects trouble according to the current consumption and estimated current consumption. The kind of the trouble is detected according to the detected current and estimated current consumption and a trouble processing signal is outputted according to the trouble state. Consequently, the abnormal phenomenon of the IC circuit, etc., which is hardly detected before can be detected by the circuit of simple constitution.
