To obtain a clear and reproducible image and to surely carry out diagnostic examination of the tooth by injecting light stably onto the tooth.
A light injection fiber of the diagnostic examination device for the tooth is arranged on a predetermined position of the tooth attachably and detachably via a fixing tool so as to inject light stably onto the tooth. The fixing tool has a pair of clamping sections for clamping the both sides of the tooth and a connecting section connecting the pair of clamping sections. By forming the fixing tool in one piece from an elastic material, the clamping sections are opened and closed by the elastic force of the elastic material and are fixed to the tooth by the elastic force. In addition, a fixing section for an intraoral camera is provided on the connecting section so as to fix the camera attachably and detachably on the fixing section. With such a configuration, the diagnostic examination device for the tooth can be fixed to the tooth and light injection is facilitated and stabilized. Further, a clear image is obtained by the injected light and reproducibility of an image is achieved.
