To suppress deterioration in image accuracy due to positional shift between images captured by different imaging systems.
According to an embodiment, a diagnostic imaging apparatus includes: a first imaging apparatus that images a subject on a top plate by exposure to X-rays; a second imaging apparatus that images the subject at each position to which an imaging position of the subject is moved by a predetermined interval in a body axis direction; a position estimation unit; and a correction processing unit. The position estimation unit estimates the position of the top plate at each imaging position in the second imaging apparatus based on top plate deflection information in the first imaging apparatus. The correction processing unit uses top plate position information estimated by the position estimation unit in correcting the position of the images obtained by each imaging apparatus.
