To provide a diagnostic system for a diesel main engine which can attain safe and smooth operation, prevention of generation of nonconformity, and a quick countermeasure when the nonconformity is generated, by intensifying a support system for a customer from a diesel main engine maker.
This diagnostic system for a diesel main engine is constituted by receiving a performance data and a part maintenance data of the diesel main engine transmitted through the Internet 5 utilizing an INMARSAT from a personal computer 7 of a ship to a business server 1 of a diesel main engine maker 17, and analyzing performance and part maintenance based on these performance data and part maintenance data by a performance analysis program and a part maintenance analysis program of the business server 1, so as to transmit a result of these performance analysis and part maintenance analysis from the business server 1 through the Internet 5 to the personal computer 7 of the ship 4 and a personal computer 8 of an operating control company 6.
