PURPOSE: To carry out accurate and rapid diagnosis of abnormality by connecting an information gathering computer storing weaving conditions and having a function for sending outbreak of the abnormality and informations, required for estimating its cause to an expert computer for estimating the cause of the abnormality, by using a communication circuit.

CONSTITUTION: In case of outbreak of a prescribed time of abnormality such as miss operation of weft insertion within a prescribed time of weft insertion in a weaving machine, outbreak of the abnormality is recognized by a weaving machine-controlling computer having an information gathering function, and an information of the abnormality is sent together with its weaving machine number to an expert computer connected thereto through a communication current. The above-mentioned expert computer reads asking informations, according to the content of the abnormality from its memory, and transfers the informations to the controlling computer of the weaving machine of the above-mentioned number. The above-mentioned controlling computer reads necessary weaving conditions from the memory in response to the above-mentioned asking informations and sends them as reply informations to the expert computer. Conclusion informations obtained by estimating the cause of the abnormality based thereon are sent from the expert computer to a worker of the corresponding weaving machine so as to make him dissolve the cause of the abnormality.
