To provide a diagonal flow blower impeller improving dynamic strength when blades are rotated without turning up noise and lowering fan efficiency.
This impeller is provided a roughly circular truncated cone shape hub 4, two or more thin blades 7 provided on the hub 4, and stiffening ribs 6 substantially radially provided on the negative pressure surfaces of the blades 7. The length of the stiffening ribs 6 is formed shorter than the radii of the blades 7. Dynamic strength is sufficiently retained by the stiffening ribs 6 even when the blades 7 are rotated at a high speed. Especially, when the number of blades 7 is two, aerodynamic load applied per one blade 7 is heavy, and the dynamic strength of the blades 7 is made in a severe condition. However, the dynamic strength is sufficiently retained by the stiffening ribs 6. The stiffening ribs 6 are provided on the negative pressure surfaces 8 of the blades 7, and besides the length thereof is shorter than the radii of the blades 7. Therefore, the frequencies of obstructing an airflow are considerably reduced, and an increase in noise and a lowering in fan efficiency are reduced in a considerably high ratio.
