Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dial face for a vehicle instrument, in which design property is further enhanced.SOLUTION: A dial face (20) for a vehicle instrument comprises: a light block layer (23) which is opened (23a) according to shapes of a characters related to vehicle information; and a light transmission coat layer (30) overlapped to the light block layer (23). A light radiated to the light block layer (23) passes the openings (23a), then passes the coat layer (30) for forming an image of characters. A surface of the coat layer (30) comprises display character parts (31) formed in a flat surface state on portions overlapped to the openings (23a), extension parts (32, 33) formed in the flat surface state on peripheral edges of the display character parts (31), and a fringe pattern part (34) formed in a three-dimensional fringe pattern state on the peripheral edges of the extension parts (32, 33).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
